History and Governance

The Queen Charlotte Islands Regional Recreation Commission is a “not for profit” Society (QCIRRC) established in 1980 through the adoption of the Skeena Queen Charlotte Regional District’s adoption of bylaw 80-1979. The most recent amendment to this was in 1979 through bylaw 340, 1997. At that time the Villages of Port Clements and Masset as well as unincorporated areas D and E agreed to participate in a recreational program unit.
